The rumors are true! - I have been working on a musical, Once More with Hurt Feelings, occasionally trying out a song here or there during my folk shows. But I'm happy to say it finally had its debut, in a concert at the Jamaica Plain Branch Library on May 30. (I'm pretty sure that's where 'A Chorus Line' and 'Jesus Christ Superstar' debuted as well.) We had a great cast, including Brevan Collins (as Geoff), Luna Abreu-Santana (as Ellie), Sarah Robinson Seeber (as Margo), and Chris Thompson (as Geoff's mom). Barry Singer added some tasteful piano and melodica (and he-man vocals on "Smart Jocks") and I played guitar and sang some roles as well. We had an enthusiastic crowd so thanks to all who made it, and please stay tuned for upcoming performances! Here are some pix from 5/30:
