As a songwriter, I've gotten to do a lot of fun and challenging things - write for my rock band Loose Ties, write for myself as a folk artist, write a 'songtrack' for my novel Next Big Thing. But I'd never written a musical. Um, until now. The past few years I've been thinking about parallels between the present and when I was growing up in mid-'70s Ohio, and the result is 'Once More with Hurt Feelings', which will have its debut concert reading (music and dialog, with full cast) on Saturday afternoon April 11 at the Jamaica Plain Branch Library, 30 South St. in JP. Curtain is at 1 PM and it's free. I'm honored to have a great cast and band so hope you can join us! The show will run 2 hours, with a short intermission, and you're invited to stay for a brief 'talkback' and share feedback on the show.
